Join Kelli on Sunday mornings to learn the foundations of your yoga practice.
During this 3-part workshop series, Kelli will break down the common elements of class, introduce the fundamental principles of alignment, and teach you the primary poses you will encounter when you practice. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description, demonstration, and practice with an emphasis on safety, and stability within each pose.
You will learn how to understand the general form of each pose, necessary modifications and breathing techniques, that will allow you to skillfully refine, and empower your yoga practice for a lifetime to come.
During this workshop, these poses will be linked together into a gentle flowing sequence.
Come to learn, play, and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive environment. You don’t need to be able to touch your toes; you just have to be willing to try.
At the end of the session, you will have learnt:
-the most common standing, balancing, and seated postures
-modifications that suit your body for each pose
-how to use props
-breathing techniques that balance the mind
-the connection between asana (physical yoga practice) and meditation
