Let us know of any health concerns before you book.
Hot yoga is not for everyone. Unheated yoga is not for everyone. Different classes come with different potential risks. If you are pregnant, have high blood pressure or have any other unique circumstances, please let us know.
Bring a towel & a water bottle.
There’s no need to walk in and wonder where you should place your yoga mat. We will have mats laid out for each person registered in the class. The mats will be disinfected prior to your arrival. Please bring a towel - yoga towel, beach towel, or bath towel - to go on top of your mat for any hot or warm classes. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during class.
Grab a tote for your shoes.
From the courtyard entry to the studio floor, we have designed our space to be a shoe free zone. When you enter the building you will notice black totes hanging to your left. Remove your shoes and place them inside the tote. Take your tote upstairs and find a hook in the change room area.
You will be hot.
If you have registered for a hot class, it will be hot. While the room is set to the temperature of a hot summer day in Saskatchewan, it will not feel like the heat of the sun burning your skin.
You will sweat.
While the poses in the Hot Yoga sequence will engage your muscles and elevate your heart rate, you should not feel desperate for breath during the class.
It will be dark (most of the time).
Not pitch black, but dark enough to blur out some of the distractions around you. For balancing poses and stretches, you will find it easier to focus on your own practice.
You are in control your practice.
If it causes pain, don’t do it. Everyone is at different places in their practice. With each class, you will be able to get farther into each pose, but there is no rush to do this. Appreciate where you are at and work with any pose modification that works best for you.
There’s no rush.
Studio doors will be open at least 20 minutes prior to a hot class, so anyone wanting to acclimatize and rest prior to class is encouraged to come early. Each hot class ends in Savasana - a laying down resting pose - there is no rush to leave.
The minimum age requirement is 15 (most of the time) - with parental consent.
The minimum age to attend a class is 15, unless it is a "children’s class”. A parent must consent to minors attending class, and must attend the first class with their child.
